| It's quite possible I'll end up regretting posting this pic. TOO LATE. |
Sunday I went on a book shopping spree (sponsored by not-me). I picked up thirteen books (which is a lot for me to buy at one time!) and I shared them in my first "Book Haul" on my new Youtube channel.
You'll notice that the majority of the books I procured yesterday are non-fiction. In case you're not interested in watching the video I posted yesterday I'll explain here what I like reading (this is for you, Maarten).
I work in the Teen Zone of a public library so it's pertinent to my job that I be familiar with YA fiction, so I read mostly that. Most of that YA fiction is dystopian or scifi/fantasy. When I read adult books they're either non-fiction or scifi/fantasy. My non-fiction interests change from time to time but you'll notice a pattern here with this latest book haul.
I recently started watching "Ancient Aliens" and I grew up a fan of Stargate SG-1 so the concept of aliens in ancient Egypt is a wonderful, crazy idea that I love exploring (as I said in the video, it's a bit "big-headed" of us to think we are all alone in this universe). I got all the non-fiction books from a local New Age bookstore so they all have that feeling to them. You'll notice that I'm also getting into runes and witchcraft (but you already knew that last bit if you've been following me) as well as the law-of-attraction and different levels of consciousness.
This book buying spree I didn't actually buy and YA books, they were all non-fiction and adult scifi/fantasy/horror (in fact, I hardly moved from that section of Books Inc.). I may review all of them or most of them or just a few of them. If there are any from my haul you are particularly interested in, let me know and I'll read and review them on my blog for sure.
You can follow me on Goodreads (to the right) for more ideas on what to read next or on Twitter @Angie_for_books
And now, let the book overdose begin!
